Since I started this blog, I placed the opening post and have done nothing with it since! Actually, I shouldn't say NOTHING.... a lot has been happening, which is why I haven't had time to sit down and write! I promise in the future to be better about updating this (at least once a week). But to fill you all in, life has been absolutely CRAZY, but in a good way :) Please stay tuned for pictures that I will be posting soon on all the events below :)
On December 11th and 12th, my mom and I took the boys to The Polar Express in Williams, Arizona. It was beautiful weather, nice and cold, just the way I like it! The only thing that might have made it better, would've been to have snow. But, the one big storm that hits at the beginning of winter, hadn't come yet... so we were without snow.
We took the 6:30pm train ride and it was such a blast! They really try to make it seem as much like the movie as possible! We had hot chocolate and cookies, sang Christmas carols, and read the Polar Express story. We finally got to the North Pole to pick up Santa, and the boys received their bells! It was an awesome trip and I totally recommend it! The package includes the hotel stay, dinner and breakfast, the train tickets, and $20 in gift certificates to the gift shop! It is well worth it!
On December 13th, the boys sang at church! We were so afraid that they did not know the songs! We would ask them to practice with us at home, but we weren't sure if they knew the songs and the motions... Dakoda's buddy (James) helped him, and he did a great job! Brody was a ham. He was so cute dancing and singing on stage!
After church, Jason & I headed down town to the Chase Ballfield (where the Diamondbacks play), for his company's christmas party! It was an amazing time! Bob Parsons, the owner of Go Daddy.com, goes all out every year for this party! Lillian Garcia, from WWE Raw, sang the Star Spangled Banner. Candice Michelle and Danica Patrick were also there too! Our entertainment for the evening was Sinbad, 38 Special and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. It was great - and they say it will be bigger and better next year! Can't wait!
December 19th, a friend of ours from church, invited us over to celebrate the holiday season with them. Santa was there, and the boys had a great time making sure he knew what was on their list, one last time!
Christmas Eve, my mom and I took the boys to the 3pm church service. They liked sitting in "big church." After that, it is our family tradition, to spend Christmas Eve with Jason's side of the family! We always have a great mexican dinner and Santa even stops by to bring the kids a gift!
Christmas Day, we spent the morning at Jason's parents. Then we went over to my mom's house! I got a new digital camera, so hopefully that will help me with keeping updated pictures on the blog! That evening, a group of us went to see Marley and Me. It was a great movie and the boys really enjoyed it!
The day after Christmas, we spent celebrating Christmas with my dad. We had it at Bryan and Amber's new house. Dakoda got Rockband for the Wii for Christmas, so we spent a majority of the evening having a great time with that!
Yesterday, Bryan and Amber, my mom and Todd, Ashley, Jason, myself and the boys - all headed up to Flagstaff for a SNOW DAY!!!! Yeah! We got our big snow storm about one week after we got home from The Polar Express. Since that point, we have had quite a few big storms roll through (kind of unusual for Arizona). There was a lot of snow! The boys had a blast sledding and throwing snow balls! It was a great time!
I will post pictures this week, so stay tuned! Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, and have a safe and Happy New Year!!!!
