Last night, my mom, myself, Jason and both of the boys, went to visit a place called Camelot Therapeutic Horsemanship in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a place where kids or even adults who have disabilities, can go and learn all about horses and learn to properly ride them. I guess you would say, it is a little like a 4H program. Dakoda needed to have an intake interview to be involved in the program, so that is what we did last night. He got to meet all the horses, and see all the equipment that they have for disabled riders. It was a very neat experience, and after we fill out and return all the paperwork, he can be scheduled for regular classes! Dakoda seems to be really excited to get started, so hopefully the paperwork process will go smoothly :)
On a side note, Dakoda is getting ready to begin another new adventure on Saturday. The Surprise Recreation program, is starting a new electric wheelchair soccer program. The director of the program, Joe, came by this morning and dropped off the guard for the chair. Jason will be coaching, and Dakoda will be participating! It will be a year round thing, so it should be a great time! I will take pictures and post some.... stay tuned!
