Wildlife World Zoo!

I took Brody to the Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium on Monday. It is about 10 minutes from our house. For Brody's birthday, my mom got him a year pass to go whenever he wants. The new aquarium just opened at the end of December, so I figured it would be a good time to go. Brody really liked the aquarium - he liked the zoo too, but I think his favorite part was playing on the playground (located in the middle of the zoo and the aquarium) and going to the petting zoo! Attached are some pictures, he had a great time... I think we will go back again next week!

This is the sting rays. They have an interactive tank, where you can feed them (shrimp), touch them and watch them - they are fast! Yes, I did let Brody touch them, but I was sure to ask questions - you know the whole Steve Irwin thing was on my mind! I ask the lady about their "barb," and she said it has been removed and they do not have any teeth, because they are babies. That made me relax a little, but I was still uneasy for a while :)

Brody loves the fish! At one time we thought about getting a tank and some tropical fish.... I think I will pass on that idea, and just bring him here whenever he wants to visit them!
