Monday evening we went out for our last family dinner all together - at least for a while! Monday afternoon, Todd went to the MEPS building and then onto the hotel. Once he was cleared to leave for dinner; my mom, the boys and I picked him up at the hotel, and met Jason, Ashley, Bryan and Amber at Chili's. We had a nice time, but it was really hard to say "good-bye." Todd left yesterday (about mid-day) to go to Missouri. That is where his basic and MP Training will be until he comes back at the end of May. We will miss him a lot!
Brody had no idea what was going on.... oh the innocence of a child!
Dakoda understood, but kept asking Nani and I "why we were crying..." I think he understands that Todd was leaving, but I'm not sure that he understands time very well... or all involved with Todd being in the Army.
